It doesn’t just go away, and when I hear people tell me or another anxiety sufferer to „stop being anxious,“ it makes me livid. You almost find yourself apologizing for the things you can’t control, and that’s not okay. It’s OKAY to not be okay.

People talk about being supportive of mental illness, then turn around and use phrases like, „Oh, you’ll be okay. Just suck it up.“ „Get over it.“ When they should be using phrases such as, „I know it seems hard now, but you can get through this. I’m here for you.“
